  18. They're very nice pics, but I'm not sure why her neck is like that. It's a shame too; I always appreciate good screenshots, and yours are a work of art, but for that one tiny detail.

    Do you use CBBE by any chance? If so, then there's a patch in the optional downloads section you might have missed. In the meantime, I'll ask rxkx to chime in here, since he was a great help last time. Thanks!

    And I saw she has more to talk about than before... I like the new armour, makes her look outlandish enough and has some protection in combat.

    She gave me a sword and a staff forged of light, just like that ^^
    It seems she absolute does not value possessions and shares everything... but her armour.

    Aurlyn will not take off the wet&cold hood any more :/ Should I AFT her and allow helmets only in combat? It doesn't look too bad, but outside it is more noticeable in bright sunlight with her wearing this fur hood.

  29. I think she'll automatically unequip it during the day/ when the weather is clear, based on my experiences from Wet and Cold, although I've always disabled all weather gear in the MCM menu. AFT should work fine with her; I've played with her for over 260 hours with no problem, although I don't recommend using it to manage outfits, since it destroys their original outfit reference.

  31. Thanks! Oh, and just in case you guys were wondering about Aurlyn and the Skyrim Re-master, I'm feeling a lot better about that now, since it isn't a total cash-grab move by Beth. An excuse to get paid mods out to consoles? Perhaps. But, at least they showed some tact in offering it for free to anyone with all 3 DLCs. So, Aurlyn will be ported/ transferred over if Skyrim Re-mastered runs fine on my laptop with my current mod list. If not, then she'll remain on the "purist" version of Skyrim. Thanks!

  32. I am also looking forward to the Remaster, though I expect it will need some time to work with the majority of the mods.
    My current install of Skyrim is nearly perfect, except for the occational crash on save and Pure Virtual Function Call on closing the game.
    From Fallout4 experience with the 64bit engine, even broken mods do not actual kill the game engine. It is/was super stable for me.

    Don't take this the wrong way:
    The skirt of her armour is a little short, I think it would be better to not show skin in the groin area.
    The cloak is compared to the rest of the armour of low quality texture and stands out.
    Wet&Cold will always give her a fur hood or similar, I gave her a blue/grey scarf but she will wear it as helmet permanent and not just when it is cold/rainy.

    I did check Aurlyns true form by using console command "showinventory". All her armour pieces show bad editor ID and this is the reason why I only see her cloak and circlet in the inventory. After removing all pieces manually I can dress her in a grey robe with hood, this still looks good on her. Maybe I find a hood with hair for her.
    Question: is there any functionality for the armour to reappear? On level up or something?

    With her new Stash, I was thinking about using those pieces to dress her. All the earrings and some of the oriental rings look very interesting :D

  33. Thank you for this mod. The voice acting and the voice recording are top notch A+. Im impressed. I would like to request a Looks customizer by someone like ClearanceClarence who does a number of follower customizers on Nexus. I know you dont post to Nexus anymore, but it would be nice to be able to customize her hair and or facial features. Aurlyn isnt ugly, she just isnt the elf kind of pretty I like. I looked at your file structure and you have like 8x .Nif and .dds files in the facegen data folder. Most have one. I tried to replace them and alter them and use NPC Visual Transfer tool and another program called alternative actors or faces, but nothing works. So I'm requesting a customizer please. ;)

ClearanceClarence is welcome to add one if he so wishes, since I gave permission for appearance changes and the like, but I won't go out of the way to expedite the process since I personally think rxkx did a fantastic job with her new countenance. I will, however, send him a quick PM letting him know that some users have requested this feature, and he has the go-ahead to make the customizer now. Thanks!

  35. Yup. The Nexus just banned me for completely unfair and hypocritical reasons. Her mod page is now hidden there by Darkrogue21 on my behalf, and will remain that way until the Nexus admits their mistakes, and unbans me.


    Now then, let's move onwards. This won't set me back a bit; I'll still continue modding and releasing my mods on independent websites whenever I feel like it. Oh, and I would extend a sincere Thank You to all of my team members for being so understanding and supportive; you're the best.

  44. Hmm? You mean make them playable? I will in the next update, if there ever is going to be one, but for now, go in the CK/ TES Edit, and tick the Playable box in Regal Arrow, as well as the Can be Picked Up box in the Regal Arrow projectile to make them usable by the Player. Thanks!

  50. I can't tell you how heart-broken I was when one day I went to check the Nexus to see if Aurlyn had been updated and saw the dreaded "File not found" message staring back at me lol. It was a bit depressing, but for some odd reason it never occurred to me to maybe, I don't know... GOOGLE "Aurlyn Dawnstone" lol. So I accepted it. Then one day I was over at lover's lab looking through mods and lo and behold there she was, in all over her glory and ass-kickery, lovingly inviting me, enticing me, to download and install an updated version of her. I once posted a comment on the Nexus, username head213, a little while after she first appeared there comparing her to other great mods such as Mirai, Vilja, and Interesting NPC's. I'm going to repeat what I said there and elaborate a bit on it as well because, well, I feel Aurlyn deserves at least that much.

    Follower mods are THE BEST type of mods in my opinion and, for this player at least, Aurlyn has proven to be one of the best ever created. Mods like these add so much more color and life to the game compared to the many other types of mods (i'm not trying to trash or belittle any of the other absolutely incredible and unique mods out there, with a few exceptions these types of mods just appeal to me the most). Not only do you have new places to explore as well as new people and enemies to interact with and encounter, new treasure, and sometimes even new loot like rare or unique armor and weapons, you get to do it all with an exotic and refreshing new companion by your side. Adding to the experience, contributing new perspective and commentary on both new and old places, enhancing involvement and, yes I'm going to use that word that is so oft used is has become almost medicore to even mention at this point; IMMERSION... there we go. Not only augmenting and improving a brand new experience but also revitalizing and rekindling the love that we all share for the game. Aurlyn isn't just a mod to check out or play, it is one of the many experiences that reminds one of what we love so much about Skyrim and a reason to KEEP COMING BACK FOR MORE! :-)

    Thank you mlee3141, for all of the time, the effort (both fruitful and lost), creative thought, and energy that you have put into this mod. Your contribution to the community is greatly appreciated and I, for one, am grateful to be a part of a community with so many talented and generous mod authors such as yourself sharing original content and helping out the rest of us little guys along the way.   52. hello iam a huge fane of your mod but the one quest that has the thalmor fortress in the same area where the first "fight agaist the thalmor" quest, it made me sad and I know there is a big open area ( well 2) one near the thalmor prison fortress and one in the cold regions of winter hold or maybe one in the falkreath holds mountains. just a thought cause I like her to be there with my character during the fight against the thalmor part of my game play. thanks for hearing me out and I like your mod very lore friendly and maybe very funny.

  53. @Fitra Adi, in pictures 78 and 79 are Aurlyn's new look, which when you downloaded her you should have received (all but her hair). There is no other mod you need for those textures, as they are the default. Only the hair is different. The hair in those two pictures comes from someone who custom made her hair for their own game, however the mod http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/73137/? has the style as a wig you can place on Aurlyn in a variety of colors. I hope this helps. :)

  56. First of all. thank you for this mod. I only just found it and first time I met Aurlyn, I ended up just talking to her until my character starved to death... Oh well. But have not gotten very far with her because something is preventing her to be used alongside AFT. I have yet to get to the Throat of the World but I have summoned her to me. I can talk to her just fine, she will follow me, but any AFT related dialogue won't show, I don't get a notification about it and she won't respond to "Tweak Commands"-power.

    I tried the usual dismiss, ask to follow, do a clean save, reinstall, start over again-thing, but nothing seems to work. I also tried "Make Follower" spell that comes with AFT (and got different warnings every time), but when I try to use "Manage with AFT" dialogue, I get a notification: "Script missing parameter, possible mod conflict?". However, I have not found this mod conflict with LOOT or any other method. I have made sure Aurlyn.esp comes after AFT, only follower-related thing after it is VolatileFollowers.esp, which uses TES5Edit to go through followers and makes them unprotected. Could that be the issue? Aurlyn was accidentally patched with other mods so maybe that broke something? Although, I did reinstall the mod and remove it from the patch, so... Don't know really.

    But, I will still keep her with me even if AFT is not working... She's just so well made.

  57. Patching and using mods to alter the follower (any follower) can cause them not to work properly unless they are on a vanilla follower system (even then things can happen). Aurlyn is not on a vanilla follower system, she has her own system and can only be just barely used with AFT. For a long time I used Aurlyn and AFT together and could not use all functionality of AFT with Aurlyn because her system is slightly different. I now use EFF (Extensive Follower Framework) and have the exact same issue. She does work better below AFT in the load order and patching her doesn't really affect her (not in my playthroughs, anyway and I use TES5Merged and Wrye Bash), so both of those situations are probably safe - but as all mod lists are different, this might not be true in all cases. You will have to test it. I see you said she was "accidentally patched with other mods" what do you mean? Typically patching involves multiple mods. What patching systems do you use?

    When I played with AFT I noticed Aurlyn can be altered with AFT's features of clothing management, and you can change her combat style (if I remember correctly this is true), and do a few other things. However you can't do all of the commands. If you're not getting AFT dialogue at all it could be a conflict with any other mod that tries to override follower functionality. Volatile Followers does not seem to do this (I just looked through the mod page). Serenity, Aurlyn's daughter that is included with this mod, works much better with follower frameworks as she is more of a vanilla style follower. Look her up and place her at you (player.placeatme xxxxx - Serenity's ID) and see if she can be used with AFT's features for you.

    I do have some questions:

    Did you install Volatile Followers AFTER Aurlyn? Sometimes if you are installing new mods they can upset a load order in a weird way - but this is rare.

    Are you creating new games every time you are testing? (this is REQUIRED as there may be a glitch in your current saved game that even though you uninstall/reinstall a mod, the scripts are still saved in the save and can come back to haunt you if you test over and over in the same save). If you are not creating new games, then please do so. You can delete the saves later. To do the new game quickly, install Aurlyn under AFT with Volatile Followers at the bottom as normal and test it. Don't make a new character, simply use the code cocwhiterun when you are loading a new game. The game will give you a predetermined Nord character and you can test away. Try testing each time with different parameters. Test once with the setup you want. If that doesn't work, test without Volatile Followers. If that doesn't work, then look in your load list to see if there could be any other mods that can alter follower AI.

    If you are using an old save, using a script cleaner *might* work, but it might not. Even the best ones can't get out all the offending scripts and mess-ups Skyrim's engine can come up with. So don't rely on this unless you can go in and delete the exact scripts from a mod. Even then it might make the save game unplayable. You might have to revert back to a previous save before Aurlyn came into the game if you get her to work on a clean save.

    Please let us know your progress. Hopefully we can get this fixed!

  58. Thank you for your amazingly quick reply, I really appreciate it. First I answer your questions. When I said she was patched with other mods, I meant that while I was running Volatile Followers, I accidentally did not uncheck her .esp-file before patching, meaning that Volatile Followers used her file as a master file (and thus probably made some changes). Volatile Followers itself had been in my game before her, but I use other patches (in my case Perkus Maximus-patcher and ASIS-patcher), and ran Volatile Followers-patcher after those so the changes they had done to my came wouldn't override the changes to the followers. After I realized my mistake I did everything again without Aurlyn.esp file checked and reinstalled the mod, being afraid that I had broke it.

    I did some new testes this morning. The results are following: I managed to get AFT to recognize her, but only if I did not change my race from Nord, did not configure any mods I had with MCM, and even then she did not respond the Tweak Commands power or the AFT dialogue. The option was there, it just didn't do anything. If I was any other race (even Vanilla, but just not Nord), or configured my mods before meeting her, AFT wouldn't kick in. I tried this without Volatile Followers and Smarter Combat AI (a mod I once downloaded and which shouldn't even be in my load order anymore, need to find out why it keeps popping back), when it did recognize her, with Volatile Followers but without Smarter Combat AI, when AFT did also recognize her. But only if I had met the "conditions" I described above. I'm... kinda puzzled.

    Other mods that may change AI I have are Better Stealth AI for Followers and Heal Me Follower, and as for dialogue, I have Relationship Dialogue Overhaul. Any of these have not caused problems before but, one can never know.

    But, I'm quite fond with her original fighting style, she equipped armor I gave her without AFT just fine, and I can summon her with the power if she gets lost, so in the end only thing I would need from AFT anyway would be the "Relax" option. I mean, when I go to the inn with her, and Vilja is dancing on the table and Inigo is talking about his fleas to strangers, she kinda stands out, standing near the door and looking like she would rather be anywhere else than with me right now. And if I don't tell her to wait, she stands next to my bed and stares at me.....

    So would there be alternative for the Relax-feature that I could use with her? Everything else about her is fine, more than fine, it's great, but I feel so guilty when I need to go to the inn to rest and she looks like a lost puppy in there...

  59. Wow, that is strange. I'm glad you did tests, though not so happy with those results! I have never had an issue like that before with any of my follower setups, but obviously this is proof that things can always go unexpected. I'm sorry she can't be fully used with AFT for you. I do not use Better Stealth AI (because the followers I have, Aurlyn, Virelda - both made from mlee3141 - have good stealth features built in already and because AFT/EFF picks up stealth in followers pretty well), do not use Heal Me Followers (because of how I play), nor do I use Relationship Dialogue Overhaul (is it good? Heard about it but haven't downloaded it). So these *might* have some factors that change things, but I cannot be sure. Do their dialogue/options/scripting show up for Aurlyn?

    I'm with you, in the end I don't mind using Aurlyn without a follower overhaul because of the exact features you described. However, to get her to sandbox (because she does get creepy in her "never sleeping" thing) when I used AFT I had the mod "Followers can Relax." It helped a lot and has a patch for AFT so they can work together for other followers if needed. Hope this helps you out! Would like to know how it works. :)

  60. I have not either, but on the bright side, she works fantastically even without any overhauls, so I'm going to embrace every moment with her and forget about AFT. Especially now, when she actually takes it easy from time to time... As you can see: http://imgur.com/dO5GHKB Thank you for pointing me to the Followers Can Relax-mod. It works flawlessly.

    Better Stealth AI for Followers does one thing that per example AFT doesn't: You can tell your followers that you wan't them to attack only if you are attacked, thus they won't start fighting if you sneak-snipe someone... And as I play as heavy-armor tank without any healing skills, Heal Me Follower is essential to me. Aurlyn just saved my hide against bandit mob... And then set the Fort Greymoor in flames and started cooking. And Relationship Overhaul is actually really really good. I like how Nazeem or Idorf Battle-Born insult me after I robbed them (via Immersive Speechcraft) and when I had party of 6 khajiits in one of my games, I was in heaven when RDO made them say SOMETHING else than "This one needs something?"

    Oh, by the way, I noticed a small incompatibility between Aurlyn and Fire and Ice Overhaul. Nothing is broken or anything like that, it's just... Aurlyn seems to fight with fire. A lot of it. And FIO tweaks fire so so it can hurt you and others, and spread. Meaning that an inferno in a narrow corridor may be deadly to friends and foes equally. I'm just going to disable FIO for now.

    Anyway, thanks for this amazing mod and thank you for your help! Everything is working like a charm now.

    Those mods sound pretty cool. I might try them out. Also, Aurlyn's main weapon are custom fire/sunlight spells. So a mod like that isn't an incompatibility, it's just an after effect. :( Because she's very powerful, any fire/ice spell you give her will be devastating with that mod. It would be the same with any follower who is as powerful as Aurlyn is with elemental magic. Like you I would play without it if you use her, but it sounds like it'd be a nice one to use with less-powerful elemental mage followers (like Marcurio) when the party goes after a dragon. Kick that dragon's butt!!! >:D

  62. Also, I just remembered: AFT has a function where you can have followers ignore friendly fire. I found it useful when I played with AFT because the followers sometimes got in my way (I often play ranger/archer characters). So it won't help with them dying, but it can help if they try to fight with each other after being hit with friendly fire.

  63. Yeah, they both work as they should, but if they do, everyone is going to die. Especially when there is Aurlyn and a dragon that both spread fire EVERYWHERE... So it's not so about incompatibility but more about the fact that in this case, the two mods don't really compliment each other.

    Heal me Follower actually works very well with her. Sometimes it causes followers either heal you non-stop or they react so slowly that they don't make it on time. Aurlyn just throw a lightball at dragon, looked at me like, "Oh, sorry, you dying?", healed me and continued to kick ass. Loving her. Although she tried to kill Vilja in Bleak Falls Barrow... Maybe they got in a catfight over my Dragonborn? ;)

    Buuut.... I found another bug. For some reason I can't trade with her anymore. I can look at her stash and sell items with her, but I can't give her items to carry or wear. When I try to use the dialogue option, it returns me back to the dialogue tree and doesn't open trade window. She was using her dress while fighting a dragon... I did however find a workaround; I can still use Dudestians NPC Clothes Changer and Maintainer to take the items she has unequipped (this case armor) and give them back to her and then she will wear it. So not a big deal. Other followers work fine.

  64. That is odd. Especially her fighting in her dress. She should automatically change into her armor when you recruit her. You said you changed it, yes? I'm glad you have a mod to fix this - but this is a weird issue. Do you know, by chance, if this was happening before our discussion - as in, did you encounter it maybe once before and forgot about it? Or has this option been pretty fine since you started playing with her? Either way I'm tempted to say it's a mod issue because those are the most common reasons why dialogue doesn't work. Sometimes issues take a while to creep up as a script has to get embedded and breaks (I think that's the right terminology) leaving you with pieces of script that are unusable or broken. Try a script cleaner. I use this one: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/52363/?, but there are others. I like this tool as it's easy to use and removes the actual broken part of the script, not the entire block of script with the broken piece. Most of the time you just need to remove the erroneous part and the game re-adds in the correct script and it works again. Just always remember to make a backup (this tool can be set to automatically make one).

    I do find that when I dismiss her she reverts back to her original outfit. When I ask her to follow me again she doesn't always put on her other outfit, I have to pull the items from her inventory and then place them back. However I believe this is because I had to manually remove her original armor to get her to wear something else in the beginning. Obviously not the best idea when you can use a mod to do it (should have lookd for a mod instead XD).

  65. Alright, I managed to track it down. Volatile Followers 1.3 had been reported to broke AFT. And even though AFT doesn't see Aurlyn as follower, it broke her "vanilla" commands in the process. I guess Vilja and Inigo were not affected because they have absolutely nothing to do with vanilla follower system and thus cannot be used with AFT at all. But Lydia was broken too. (..And now she's dead.) I downloaded older version of Volatile Followers, which fixed AFT and thus fixed Aurlyn too. I'm glad I did not have to use Script Cleaner, even if it is safe, there is always the slim chance that I as the user mess something up.

    Sorry for reporting this to you as a bug with Aurlyn, in the end the problem was not at all in her but at the time it was the only follower that got affected by the bug, thus I jumped to wrong conclusion. When I met Lydia and realized she was broken too I kinda connected the dots.

    Oh, and I'm Finnish. So my native language is not even remotely close to English in the first place. This kinda explains why...

  66. Oh no! I'm glad you found the fix and issue, but I'm sorry you had to go through the hassle. You are right about Script cleaner, best to leave it alone if not needed.

    It's okay about telling us your concerns. It might have been Aurlyn, might not have been. Never would have known if there wasn't a concern brought up. It gives us information and lets us know how things are working beyond our own load orders. Thanks for bringing it to our attention, even if the issue wasn't at our end.

    Finnish! My little nephew and my brother in law are from Finland. XD But I can't speak Finnish, though I'm trying to learn. You're right, it's different from any language I know (which are just Latin and English). Nice picture, by the way. It's pretty accurate!

  67. Hi, me again... I'm sorry I keep popping back with new issues in every few days but I have been testing something three days now and it seems that either I'm missing some vital information or I have encountered a bug.

    I decided to start a new character, mage this time, and I got Aurlyn as my follower as soon as I got to Riwerwood. She gave me the staff and some spells when I asked about her sword. But I noticed that neither the staff or the spells level up my Destruction skill. I was wondering why it was still at 16 after I was level 8 and had been using both the staff and the spells all the time. I bought Fireball spell from Farengar at Whiterun, fought a dragon with it and suddenly my Destruction started to rise. I switched back to the Aurlyns spells and the skill stopped rising completely. I tried the Restoration spell she gave me (the healing spell, I can't remember its name right now, sorry), but my Restoration stayed at 19. I went back to Farengar, bought Fast Healing, and Restoration was soon 22. Switched back to Aurlyns spell, skill froze again. Even though they are listed under proper categories in my spell book, they don't seem to rise the appropriate skill when used. Which is a shame, because I really like the staff and the fact that it doesn't hurt friends, only foes. But I really can't use the staff or spells if I ever want better perks to myself... Any ideas why this could be happening? I'm using PerMa, but Aurlyn.esp is listed as master and thus it should be included in the patch.

    Yeah, well if any substantive in Finnish has 140 different conjugations, and we can replace the pharase "I wonder, if I'm going to run after all" with one word: Juoksisinkohankaan, I kinda understand why Finnish is 2nd hardest language in the world, right after Japanese... I say often that Finns do speak Finnish, but they don't know HOW to speak Finnish. When we had test in school about conjugations, whole class (45 students) failed. And only thing our teacher had to say was "...you too?" XD

  69. Anyone know where Serenity is? Done both the quests and never came across her. The mod download doesn't include any meshes or textures with the name "Serenity" in them but her default outfits are being overwritten by this mod. so I'm guessing it's in there somewhere. Been looking for a long time so I would appreciate any help.

  70. Hi Sasha! Hmm... Quite interesting. I must have forgotten to set the skill value multipliers for her custom spells since my original intent was for them to be used by Aurlyn alone, and NPCs do not benefit from the same. I'll take a look in the next version and fix it if that is the case; if not, then perhaps another perk/ skill modifying mod is preventing you from gaining experience when using custom spells.

    As for Appoduce, Serenity can initially be found in Sinderion's Laboratory in Blackreach; her meshes and textures are not named "Serenity" since I prefer to keep the original resource filepaths intact, but rest assured, all of her relevant assets are included in the main file. She also goes back to Frost Ivy Glade near the Skall Village in Solstheim after being recruited at least once, then dismissed. Try looking for her there as well.

    Also, we're working on getting Aurlyn into Enderal; with relevant quest, location, story-based and just plain for fun/ fourth wall breaking dialogue. She will retain most, if not all of her features, although her dialogue will be almost all unique to this expansion, which should be out shortly. An update to the main file to tie in Aurlyn in Enderal, and to make some long-awaited bug fixes and additions such as Serenity's Quest Dialogue will also be released around the same time. Thanks!

  71. Appoduece, Serenity is in the Alchemist's Shack in Blackreach. The shack where the alchemist has died somehow while searching for crimson Nirnroot. It's one of the first Dwemer "shacks"/houses you run into when coming into Blackreach from the main side (a la the main quest). You can also bring her to you by opening the console and do "help serenity" (no quotations). Write down her number under NPC and then do player.placeatme XXXXX (<---serenity's number). Hope this helps!

  74. Note: This same issue has been posted to all three mod authors in question, as this bug affects all three followers (Inigo, Vilja and Aurlyn Dawnstone) and I need all the help I can get.

    So the issue is this: For some reason I have been unable to track down, my followers get stuck in ”relaxing” or sandboxing mode. This has happened me now five times in a row in three different playthroughs.

    First time started when I exited Northwatch Keep. This time Aurlyn was unaffected, but Inigo and Vilja stuck into sandboxing. Vilja started immediately use the forge (and wouldn’t stop), and Inigo switched between drinking animation and walking to woodchopping block, using it, and then drinking or eating again. I had not told them to relax in the first place, so I couldn’t ask them to follow me. I asked them to relax, waited and asked them to follow again. For a split second they both seemed to get out from the sandboxing, stopping what they were doing and turning to face me, but then returned to idle-actions again. I tried to run away from the keep to the wilderness where there was nothing to interact with, used Summon Vilja-power for her and ”moveto player” command for Inigo (because they wouldn’t follow me at all), but then they just stood there, using eat or drink animations in a loop. At this point I tried to reload a save where issue was not present and nobody was relaxing. But the bug followed me to a save where it had not happened yet. They continued to be stuck in idle-forever behaviour. By then I tried console commands like ”ResetAI” and ”Disable - Enable”-combo, told them to leave and asking them to follow me. No dime. So I loaded even earlier save.

    This was the second time this happened. This time in Silverfish Grotto player home. When I loaded up the save, everything seemed to be fine. I fought some dragons, went home, told everyone to relax and went to sleep. Woke up, told everyone to follow me and again, Inigo and Vilja were stuck again. Or... Vilja was stuck. She followed me out from Silverfish Grotto and then started to eat / drink again, walking very very slowly if at all. Inigo, however, started to walk away. I could talk to him but he was already following, there was no dialogue for that. So I used an hour to walk behind him to see where he was going, and when we got near Solitude, he jumped on the carriage and vanished. He returned to Riften. But the save I was using was way before I told him to leave in the first place! I had never told him to leave before, and now he suddenly was acting as I had dismissed him, although this dismissal was yet to even happen, there was 1,5 hours gap between those saves. The behaviour was following me from save to save.

  75. So I decided to give up, deleted all my saves, started again. Everything was fine for quite a while, until I got to Bannered Mare in Whiterun. And the third time happened. This time it affected Aurlyn and Vilja. I went in, told them to relax, spent some time talking to them and some Interesting NPCs, went to sleep. Came back, told them to follow me, left. Inigo followed me well, Vilja came outside but started immediately interact with everything near by and walked sloooowly if at all; Aurlyn did not come out at all. I thought, maybe it was because they were idle too long? Loaded a save where they were still following, went inside, did NOT ask ANYONE to relax, justr rushed to sleep. Came back down and saw that Aurlyn worked fine... But Inigo and Vilja did not. They had started to relax without me telling them to. I was like, okey, I’m sick of this, let’s just go. Bought horse, rode away from Whiterun and then noticed that, even though Inigo and Vilja had mounted their horses, they had also unmounted them and were following me very very slowly. However, Aurlyn was following fine.... and so was her horse. I use Convienient Horses, so she had one, but... I know this sounds freaking bizzare, but her HORSE was acting as follower, and Inigo was acting like a horse. I don’t mean I could have mounted him or anything, I could still talk to him, but when we got into a fight, Aurlyns horse sprinted to battle, and Inigo ran away. I had set Inigo to be aggressive and the horses acting cowardly. So they switched behaviours.

    At this point I was more than done, I was well-done, so again I wiped all my saves and started over AGAIN. I thought, okey, maybe, perhaps, it is the Followers Can Relax-mod that causes this, and started without it. Even though Vilja and Inigo never used the commands added by this mod, they have their own, it was the only one I could think of. I have AFT but none of the three is managed by it, and they are all custom followers with custom behaviours. So even if something was bugging out one, rest shouldn’t be affected, right? But Followers Can Relax modifies the priority of Sandboxing, according to the page, maybe that somehow affected their behaviour, overwrite something important?
    Again, for a while, everything was fine. Relaxing worked fine with Inigo and Vilja, poor Aurlyn couldn’t relax now but if I could finally play, it would have been a necessary sacrifice. I got to the point where I was going to kill the dragon near Whiterun and was sprinting to the watchtower... When I noticed that Inigo was missing. Checked his map marker and it showed he was still in the Dragonsreach. Used ”moveto player” command and saw that he was stuck in somekind of cheering animation. I had saw it before when I used Fury-spell to someone; NPCs that did not fight used the animation and usually stopped when the fight was over. The problem? I had not used Fury at anyone for hours. And Inigo just wouldn’t stop. And this time I did not had the Followers Can Relax mod, so it couldn’t be that either. Loaded earlier save, before I got the quest, and all three where cheering in the middle of Whiterun. All of them are supposed to be following me but again, the bug followed me to an earlier save. Tried ”ResetAI”, tried ”Disable-Enable”, tried to fast travel, tried to dismiss them, tried to restart both Skyrim and my computer, still no luck. I’m permanently stuck in the Market of Whiterun where three amazing followers cheer to a freaking well and sometimes talk about fleas and sweetrolls.

    So, anyone with a idea to fix it will have my eternal gratefulness... Because at this point I’m ready to throw my monitor through a window and give up with Skyrim for a while.

  76. Ok, first off, if this is happening between three different mods it's probably a compatibility/script issue somewhere. Looking at your load order and um...AFT as well as the follower mods should all be at the bottom of the load order (above patches, with followers above AFT). All follower AI stuff should be around here too so it doesn't get overridden by other programs. FNIS and all animation mods should be at the very bottom of the load order as they don't get patched in TES5 nor Wrye Bash. Did you use a manager such a LOOT to sort this? It doesn't seem like it's in a very good order. Do you have other crashes, do any NPCs besides followers behave wonky, etc...? What you ultimately want to do is have a load order where everything is neat and tidy, similar mods are bunched together and organized according to rank for what you want in your system, but you have to make sure some mods go where they are supposed to go and not where LOOT or BOSS says (because they can be wrong).

  78. I use LOOT (not the inbuild version in MO but as an separate executable) and... that's what it has given me. My MO has been wonky for a while now so that may explain something though. Have not had any problems before now. But you were indeed correct, it was incompatibility issue. While following the suggestions of people on Inigos page, I found out that all three AI's were "hijacked" by LP_Bard_Follower_Quest, which was part of the "Become a Bard"-mod. I disabled it and now they no longer keep cheering at the well. It's a shame really, that it had to be that mod, but at least my Skyrim is again playable, so I'm happy with that.

    And also, I apologize if my message was aggressive or came across sounding hostile. It was never the intention. I was just very very frustrated while writing it, because I had lost about... 25 hours in total because of this bug and I was more annoyed to myself for being so incredibly lost than I was for anyone else. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to sound like I was blaming anyone for this, I tried to sound like I was sincerely looking for help from people smarter than myself, but I guess my BPD got in the way.. Anyway, Aurlyn is her wonderful self again and I can finally leave Whiterun for a while! Thank you for your response, it confirmed that the problem was indeed in the AI.

  87. So I realize this is more of a "general modding" question and less an Aurlyn specific one but, I always like to ask the mod authors specifically if they are active. Would it mess Aurlyn up if I go into tesv edit and tweak her spells a bit? I want to get rid of her sun aura ability (the one that she constantly casts that surrounds her for 1 minute). It's not so much about it being op or anything, it's just that it clouds everything around her within 3m and I just want it off for aesthetic reasons. Even on legendary, after level 90 the game is fairly underwhelming lol. Thanks in advance for any responses! :)

You can remove it with TES Edit without messing anything up if you wish; however if you do touch her more offensive spells like Twilight Orb or Daybreak, then it really will mess up her unique, carefully tweaked "combat style". Well, more of a balance I put in after observation and testing; she uses the best spell in the moment, so that was more than enough for me to work with. Thanks!

    Plus, I'm working on a series of three novels that feature Aurlyn as the main character! They take place on Selewyn (a world I weaved up), Earth and Nirn, respectively. I'll post them up here, under the Misc. Files section when I'm done. Thanks! I already redid my bodyslide meshes after I installed it, but that didn't work. Also how would I go about changing the armors in her stash to work with bodyslide? I REALLY like that silver and blue set.

  93. Unknown, let me do some research on this as I do not have MO and therefore cannot adequately help you. Until I can find an answer for you please just use her regular body.

    For the bodyslide, you would have to research that and apply the changes yourself. We currently do not support that. I do know there are tutorials on the Internet. I also found this on the Internet about bodyslide: "Caliente put a ReadMe.txt in the BodySlide package that includes tutorials and links to all the information you need on how to use the tools. You can find them in the CalienteTools folder inside your Skyrim Data folder if you installed the Mod correctly."

    Anyway, The ONLY thing I think Aurlyn needs is to be able to 'relax' like other NPC do. When she waits, she is frozen in place. That is really my only suggestion.

  105. Man I don't know if you still look these masseges but I really have to say this.This is without a doubt one of the best mods out there. The dept of her character.... it is amazing and I can't begin to imagine how hard it must be to create such a detailed character so you every other modder you guys are amazing :D I love philosophy and seeing such a character in elder scrolls series considering they actually have a pretty deep lore...this is what bethesta supposed to do. Just one thing... I wonder what happened to maomer after all that chaos and I wish you put more dialogue about three allienge war and more about deadric princes and other entities.Maybe worth a thought? And if you can please explain about her dream World?She was essentially a mortal no? is she some aspect of Anu or her teacher was anu or some other deity to teach her a lesson about not play with forces we mortals can't comprehhend. You know this character for some reason made my mind go bact to Bloodborne how we can not possibly comprehend the Great Ones but she gained some form ascend and certain amount of insight with her encounter in that dream World...or that is what I imagine... :) anyway really amazing character and I hope to see more updates to her.And as another commenter said I really hope you consider bringing her daughter to Skyrim!!!

Thanks alot for the amazing companions, Aurlyn and Serenity really spiced up my adventure a lot, a question about Serenity though, I've seen a quest dialogue for serenity in the mod, does that mean Serenity had her own quest? is it a completed feature or it's a WIP? looking forward to play her quest.

  110. Aurlyn, and Serenity are two of my projects as well. Very new to modding (and Skyrim for that matter), so I tend to stick to the automatic installers. Of course, Serenity has that with NMM, but I'm curious as to whether the current Aurlyn character is capable of being installed via an installer of some sort, or is a manual option the only option? I'm really drawn to Aurlyn's vocabulary. Regards!

  111. The more i talk to to aurlyn and listen to her thoughts, stories, poetry-the more floored i am by the amount of heart, talent, artistry and beauty that went into creating her. Says a lot about the mod author i think :o) I am going to be contributing to the mod authors who have significantly impacted my enjoyment of the game. You are right at the top of the list. Just an amazing job on her

  112. I'm not sure if you'll see this, but if you do I'd like to know this...

    Aurlyn made a reference to being in Enderal, but she isn't compatible due to Dawnguard and Dragonborn being disabled and unneeded in Enderal. Is there a way to get her to work or is it a work in progress/discontinued? It seems she has lots of dialogue for it but I've looked through your download and found they all require Dawnguard and Dragonborn... Am I simply confused or...?
